Target Agreeements of the Faculty of Sciences
The third target agreement round 2018-2022 to increase the proportion of women in academia was signed on 08 November 2017 by the President of FAU Erlangen-Nürnberg, Prof. Dr.-Ing. Joachim Hornegger, and the Dean of the Faculty in Sciences, Prof. Dr. Frank Duzaar.
The measures set out in the target agreements (in German only) should contribute to increase
- the percentage of female students in physics from 21 % (2013-2015) to 23 % (2019-2022)
- the percentage of women, who completed a PhD in physics from 22 % (2013-2015) to 27 % (2019-2022)
- the percentage of women, who completed a PhD in mathematics from 15% (2013-2015) to 22 % (2019-2022)
- the percentage of women, who completed a PhD in chemistry from 34 % (2013-2015) to 40 %
- the percentage of women, who completed a PhD in geography and geological sciences from 34 % (2013-2015) to 38 % (2019-2022)
- the percentage of women in academic staff from 30 % (2013-2015) to 35 % (2022)
- the percentage of women holding a habilitation at the Faculty of Sciences from 10 % (2013-2015) to 25 % (2022)
- the percentage of women at the level of W2/W3-professorships at the faculty from 16 % (2013-2015) to 20 % (2022)implementing a female share of 50 % at the level of junior professorships
